INTRODUCTION
Education is the backbone of a nation. There is a close linkage between education and development. Bangar Education Society, Uchana has sincerely endeavoured in setting un an ultra modern college, RAJIV GANDHI MAHAVIDYALAYA, UCHANA under the able guidance and patronage of Ch. Birender Singh with the co-operation of people of this area. In order to respond adequately and successfully to the challenges posed by 21 century, a very excellent education is the need of the hour in the fast changing society.
RAJIV GANDHI MAHAVIDYALAYA, which was established in 2007, is situated on N.H. 71, Delhi- Patiala Road, at Uchana, an upcoming town of Jind District, and is equidistant from Jind and Narwana. Spread over a lush green 15 acre land on the highway, this college will grow into an excellent centre of higher education with well-equipped Physics and Chemistry laboratories, modern computer lab, 38 spacious and airy class rooms. the sprawling sports complex with a 400 meters Track, a rarity in even well-established colleges, are the most attractive features of the institution. Moreover, the other features that the college comprises are its beautiful lawns, lush green Parks, Panoramic and colossal auditorium, ultra modern vast library, conference hall, spacious building furniture, equipments, canteen, common room for girls with all amenities, stipend and scholarship to SC/BC students, etc. To encourage the involvement of the students there are some programmes as NSS and NCC in the college. The mission of the college is "Committed to leap forward" and continue to strive for excellence in all fields. The Managing Committee, the Principal and well qualified staff are dedicated to shape the destiny of young generation of this region by instilling in them the value of reading, writing, speaking. patriotism, selfless service, discipline and hard work.
